HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT MAKEUP COLOURS FOR DARK SKIN

Hello fabulous people,TGIF. Dark skin popularly known as bronze ebony in makeup where i belong struggle with numerous problems when it comes to enhancing their beauty through makeup,i will share tips for your skin, blush colour and your lips. Enjoy:

         SKIN:
  1. Dark skin women tend to have oilier skin. Our skin becomes darker throughout the day when the oil in our skin mixes with foundation or powder,if your skin is very oily try a foundation that is a shade lighter than your skin to help balance this out. You will look brighter than usual but it will even out after about an hour. If your skin is oily please do not keep adding powder to your face to keep off the shine, you are simply making a mask of makeup and your skin will become darker and darker. Try buying a blot powder which does not add colour or makeup to your face or get oil blotting sheets they are formulated to get rid of the shine.
  2. You may look ashy when you apply too much powder, powder is usually sold with a sponge,it is only to be used for touch ups not the initial application. When you apply powder with a sponge, you are going to apply too much powder, which will end up looking like an ashy mask. It is best to use a face powder brush and sweep on your powder. Let the foundation do its work of covering imperfections. Trying to use your powder to cover imperfections, you will run a risk of applying too much .
BLUSH:

A lot of dark women are afraid of blush because they think it looks too artificial on their skin, since we do not have naturally flushed skin. If you are still looking a bit flat, with no warmth to your face,it could be because you are not wearing any blush. Blush is another way to add warmth to the dark skin,we stay away from bright colours because we think they will make us look ashy, we tend to act safe by applying blush colours like brown, dark berries and plum. If you are very dark skinned go for very bright colours like very bright pink and bold oranges eye rolling already?listen the colours might scare you due to the packaging, the good news is that when you apply such colours on a dark surface it will not show like that on our skin. Since the colours are so bold, they will show up on our skin and give our skin life. It is important that we blend the colour on our skin not just placing it.

LIPS:

For the lips almost the same rules applies.Darker skin tones do not look great in pale, light lipsticks. Deeper tones are always the safest like wines, deep reds, browns and plums. We can also wear the bright pinks, reds and oranges. The trick is lining the lips first with brown lip liner or lipstick underneath, what this does is to neutralize the bold colour you are going to put on top,so it will not be shocking against your skin. Please remember when you see a lip colour it will wear differently on each person, you will have to keep in mind your skin colour.
If you have dark lips, before you apply any lip colour, blot your lips with loose powder this will help bring out the colour of the lip colour you are applying.

BLACK SOAP FOR A CLEAR HEALTHY SKIN

BLACK SOAP
Its my first post so i am super excited after so much time spent on how to go about it,thanks to Bimpe of May makeovers,Debby and Tope Blaq.finally this is it.
Black soap has been used for generations in Africa, its is popularly called ose dudu which contains antioxidants. The soap is made from the ashes of plantain skin, cocoa pod and palm leaves, and palm kernel.
I have had a problematic/very sensitive skin for a long time until i discovered my holy grail which is black soap,by using black soap acne pimples has been kept at bay.
Black soap whether bought in Nigeria,Ghana,Togo,Benin Republic is same but little differences in the ingredients used in making it as long as it is in its natural state it can do wonders. There are no special ways to use the black soap, you use like every other soap but note less is more because it lathers a lot. Black soap has antibacteria and anti-fungal properties,it will improve your skin tone, fade skin discolourations, helps to heal skin problems like acne, blackheads, eczema. Antioxidants found in black soap will protect the skin against free radicals which causes premature skin aging, wrinkles and facial lines.Black soap is soothing on dry and irritated skin. Black soap removes makeup from your skin without leaving any residue, now you can save money from buying makeup remover.
